Carmelo Anthony Wagering Odds Two more potential playoff teams of the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, are set to battle for the second TNT Thursday night doubleheader at 10:30 PM EST. These two teams are fighting it out along with Utah for the Northwest Division. Like the Mavericks, the Trail Blazers are in a back-to-back situation after hosting Indiana on Wednesday night and are just 5-6 ATS in these situations despite have young legs. As the home team, the Denver Nuggets are the favorite with -7 wagering odds with a 199 1/2 over/under.

Portland has also struggled on the road this year at 12-18 ATS and a lot of those failures have been against the elite teams in the conference.

Denver dropped their last two games, both on the road at Indiana and Detroit. The Pistons game was played without Carmelo Anthony who was serving a one-game suspension. The Detroit loss helped spoil a great 34-point effort from Chauncey Billups against his old team.

Anthony’s return on Thursday, coupled with big man Nene returning to the lineup last week, means the Nuggets starting lineup and bench should be strong. Denver is 16-12-1 ATS at home this year and they usually get up for the big games.

Note this is the third meeting between the teams this year with the home team winning and covering the spread each time. However, those games back in December were without Anthony who missed them both due to injury.
