NCAA Basketball Tournament Finals Wagering
Butler vs Duke Wagering Odds
Monday, 9:20 pm Eastern – CBS
Monday night’s NCAA Championship wagering game features tradition rich Duke against home town favorite Butler in what should be a fascinating game. Duke routed West Virginia, 78-57, in the late Final Four game on Saturday while Butler just got past Michigan State, 52-50, in the first game. Duke was so impressive in their victory that the oddsmakers have made them a solid favorite tonight. Duke is a 7-point wagering odds favorite with a total of 129 at SBG Global Sportsbook.
Butler didn’t really play that well on Saturday against Michigan State but was able to win thanks to their defense. "I never thought we would win if we shot 15 for 49," Butler head coach Brad Stevens said. The Bulldogs have won 25 games in a row but they will need to play better on Monday to make it 26 straight. "Words can’t explain the way everybody is feeling right now," Butler senior forward Willie Veasley said, "to be in the national championship game, when nobody gave us a chance at all."
Butler is not getting much respect in this college basketball wagering game. They have a decided home court advantage, yet they are 7-point underdogs to Duke. The Blue Devils are a three-time national champion but they have not been in the title game in nine years. "It’s definitely going to be a big story, I’m sure," Duke’s Nolan Smith said. "People calling Butler the Cinderella and, of course, Duke the big-time program. But it’s going to be a fight. You know, both teams are very good." Butler has held 12 of its last 13 opponents under 60 points, including all five in the NCAA Tournament. "I think they’re an outstanding basketball team who, because Butler hasn’t been to the Final Four, creates that Cinderella thing," Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "But they’re one of the best teams in the country, or else they wouldn’t be playing in the national championship. They’ve earned it."
The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 NCAA Tournament games. The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the ACC. The Bulldogs are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games as an underdog. The Blue Devils are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 NCAA Tournament games.
The Under is 4-0 in the Bulldogs last 4 overall. The Under is 12-5 in the Blue Devils last 17 overall.

#5 Michigan State vs #5 Butler Wagering
Saturday, 6:05 pm Eastern – CBS
Two #5 seeds meet in the Final Four wagering on Saturday with Butler having the decided home court edge with the game being played at Indianapolis. The Bulldogs are the first team since UCLA in 1972 to play a Final Four in their hometown. The experience edge though goes to Michigan State as they have head coach Tom Izzo. The Spartans also have Durrell Summers who is averaging 20 points in the last four games. Butler is a 1.5 point Final Four odds favorite with a total of 126 at SBG Global.
Last season Michigan State got all of the hometown support and made it to the championship game before losing to North Carolina. This time it is Butler that has the hometown edge. The Bulldogs are also the better team as they have won 24 straight games. It is no fluke that Butler is here. They have not allowed more than 70 points in a game since Dec. 8. They have an excellent player in Gordon Hayward who is averaging 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Michigan State made it to the Final Four even though they lost one of their best players, Kalin Lucas, who tore his Achilles’ tendon last week. "I talked to them this morning about separating themselves," Spartans coach Tom Izzo said. "We’ve gone through a lot of things this year, not as bad as sometimes portrayed, and yet not as smooth as some years that we’ve had." The Spartans also got a huge break in their part of the bracket as #1 Kansas, #2 Ohio State and #3 Georgetown were all upset. The Spartans only had to beat one team seeded higher and that was #4 Maryland on a three-point shot at the buzzer.
The Spartans are 25-10-1 ATS in their last 36 NCAA Tournament odds games. The Spartans are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 neutral site games. The Spartans are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. the Horizon League.
The Bulldogs are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Big Ten. The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games. The Bulldogs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 NCAA Tournament games. The Bulldogs are 43-21-1 ATS in their last 65 non-conference games.
The Over is 8-0 in the Spartans last 8 vs. the Horizon League. The Over is 6-2 in the Spartans last 8 neutral site games. The Under is 8-1 in the Bulldogs last 9 overall. The Under is 5-1 in the Bulldogs last 6 non-conference games.

#12 Cornell vs #1 Kentucky Wagering
Thursday, 9:55pm ET – CBS
Most people expect Kentucky to dispatch of Cornell on Thursday in the Sweet Sixteen wagering odds round of the NCAA Tournament but the Big Red may not be an easy team to get rid of. Cornell is very well coached, experienced and they have dominated so far in this year’s tourney. Kentucky is the top seed while Cornell is the twelve seed and that is one reason the Wildcats are favored. Kentucky is an 8.5 point wagering odds favorite with a total of 147 at SBG Global.
Cornell was really not challenged in the first two rounds as they routed Temple by 13 points and then demolished Wisconsin by 18. Kentucky may have the young talent but Cornell has the experience with four senior starters. “We’re just getting started,’’ said 7-foot center Jeff Foote, “We have a really special team and we’re capable of a special run.’’
Foote is the inside force for Cornell while Ryan Wittman is the outside shooter. Cornell can shoot the ball well and they don’t get rattled. “It’s tough when you shoot 52 percent in the first half and you’re still down by 12,’’ said Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan. “They can beat you in so many ways.’’
Cornell may have the ability and the experience to give Kentucky a game. That didn’t happen in the first two rounds as the Wildcats routed East Tennessee State and Wake Forest. “Obviously we have a lot of seniors on our team,’’ said Wittman. “And I think that is something that motivated us. Not only throughout the season, but in the offseason, just knowing that this was our last shot to come here and make some noise and win some games.’’
Cornell is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. They are 36-15 ATS in their last 51 non-conference games. The Big Red are 38-17-1 ATS in their last 56 games as an underdog. The Wildcats are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 NCAA Tournament games odds as a favorite.
The Over is 5-2 in Cornell’s last 7 non-conference games. The Over is 4-0 in the Wildcats last 4 NCAA Tournament games. The Over is 13-5 in the Wildcats last 18 NCAA Tournament games as a favorite.
